Operating digitalSTROM devices is simple and convenient. And it is entirely your choice, how much you want to benefit from digitalSTROM. That means, you can operate household units as before, e.g. switch on and off each lamp individually. People who are not aware that a home is equipped with digitalSTROM will not notice any difference from conventional homes. Everything works normally. But the switch provides more functions.

Operating and controlling devices is easy thanks to a catchy colour scheme. A small indicator light in the middle of the switch shows whether light, air conditioning, blinds or a hi-fi system is operating.

Set-up is simple: The electrician defines the desired lighting scenes with a small programming unit when installing the system. Any changes or alterations can easily be done with the light switch afterwards. More complex settings can be done via computer.

Basic functions require no additional devices. The digitalSTROM chip inside each appliance (lamps, electric irons, blinds, refrigerator etc.) and the digitalSTROM Meter in the fuse box are sufficient to benefit from digitalSTROM. For more advanced requirements the system can be upgraded.
